NeuterNow
Because your dog deserves to live healthier
With NeuterNow, neutering is no longer ‘one-size-fits-all’.
Premature neutering can negatively impact the long-term health of you dog. Dogs that are neutered or spayed without being assessed for maturity can be at risk of a lifetime of health issues. Premature neutering is not generally recommended by existing studies.
Premature neutering can lead to a lifetime of health issues, including accelerated brain aging and behavioural issues, hypothyroidism, perivulvar dermatitis, increased susceptibility to infectious disease and cancers, enhanced bone growth, disc herniation, hip dysplasia, cruciate ligament injury, urinary incontinence, recurrent UTI’s, weight gain, and increased rates of obesity.
Determine the correct time to neuter or spay your dog with a simple blood test.
NeuterNow is sensitive, simple, and accessible. A single blood sample taken by your veterinarian, and sent to InsituGen’s Dunedin laboratory for testing.
NeuterNow provides your veterinarian with data on your dogs hormones, for better informed decisions, to positively impact long-term health.
Not all breeds, or individual dogs within breeds, will mature at the same age. Existing recommendations on neutering are based on age and weight, and without knowledge on the hormone profile of each individual animal, may not prevent complications for early neutering.
